System requirements
Software and hardware requirements for IBM Informix® Extended Parallel Server (XPS) are listed below. The required memory is a function of the number of users, performance considerations, number of co-servers, and the size of the database. In general, 100 to 150MB should be reserved for the server, and additional memory should be provided for user queries. Informix XPS uses the security and auditability features of the system hardware and software.
