Overview
IBM® Informix® ESQL/COBOL is an SQL application programming interface (API) that lets you embed SQL statements directly into COBOL code.
This tool consists of a code preprocessor, data type definitions, and COBOL routines that you can call.
Can use both static and dynamic SQL statements. When static SQL statements are used, the program knows all of the components at compile time.
Provides a solution for migrating existing COBOL applications to Linux, Informix 9.40 or V10.0 and ESQL/COBOL 7.25UD4.
Runs on AIX, HP/UX, Linux and Solaris.
