Overview
IBM® Informix® ESQL/C provides the convenience of entering SQL statements directly into the C language source code.
Informix ESQL/C binds a C application, using native SQL commands, to a database. You can use SQL to issue commands to the IBM Informix database and to manage the result sets of data from queries.
Provides low-level control over the application for session management and error--handling and gives you direct access to all database functions.
Requires significantly less coding and is easier, faster, more productive and less error-prone than low-level direct calls to libraries.
Runs on AIX, Linux, HP/UX, Solaris, Windows, SGI Irix, and CompaqTru 64.
