Ladbrokes Bets On Informix Dynamic Server (IDS)

Ladbrokes plc, a world leader in gaming and betting, has hit a jackpot of business benefits by upgrading its IDS-based IT infrastructure.

Ladbrokes needed a highly scalable data server that would allow it to expand its marketplace, manage user accounts, follow new gaming trends and make betting services readily available to its customers. Ladbrokes was already running an Informix-based solution, but needed to revamp its infrastructure to allow for growth. With the help of Ardenta, an IBM Premier Business Partner, and IBM, Ladbrokes restructured its 72 Informix licenses and added 30 more licenses to accommodate rapid business growth.
