System requirements
IBM® Informix® Dynamic Server (IDS) runs on most systems that have a UNIX®, Linux® or Windows® operating system. Starting with version 11.5, IDS is also available on Mac OS X. For UNIX and Linux, we recommend a minimum of 750MB of disk space, 256MB of memory and one CPU. For Mac OS X, we recommend a minimum of 750 MB of disk space and 512 MB of memory and one CPU. For Windows, we recommend a minimum of 600MB of disk space, 256MB of memory and one CPU. Many applications will require substantially larger systems. Your IBM sales team will work with you to optimize the hardware required for your application.
