You can manage your IMS™ systems in a graphical interface from your workstation using the IBM® DB2 9 for Linux UNIX and Windows Control Center. Using Control Center for IMS provides a single point of control that simplifies system management tasks in an IMSplex environment. IMS administrators can work with a consolidated system view and manage all their IMS systems from a single station.
Getting started with the Control Center is easy! Just follow the two links below.
You need an IBM ID to download the Client. If you do not have one, click on register now on the page to set up an ID.
To download the DB2 9 Client for other platforms, go to the DB2 download page. Choose your platform and download the DB2 9 Client from the most recent fixpak.
Using the Control Center, you can view the members of an IMSplex and define groups of members. The Control Center supports both IMS Version 8 and later versions. From the Control Center you can issue IMS type-2 commands using command windows or wizards, depending on how much assurance you want. The results are displayed in the IMS Results window. In addition, you can issue IMS commands, both type-1 and type-2, using the Command Editor.
