- Provides for the execution of multiple reorganization tasks concurrently and in a single job step.
- Allows you to use an unload data set as input, instead of the original database data set, thus, IMS Parallel Reorganization can be used as a reload utility with optional functions such as index building and image copying.
- Runs the image copy task with optional hash pointer checking in a parallel reorganization job step, concurrently with unload, reload, and index builder.
- After completing the database reorganization, the product automatically issues IMS commands to make the IMS online system available.
- Helps keep the database in top shape without occupying too many of the IT resources through automation and simplification of many tasks.
