IMS Parameter Manager provides an organized approach for managing, controlling, and maintaining more than 400 IMS System Parameters used in the IMS startup procedure. It is now possible to quickly and easily define, generate, and validate IMS system parameters to help ensure a flawless migration, startup, and operation of an IMS system. The product helps reduce the time needed to deal with these parameters as well as reducing the risk of error. It can help improve IMS version to version migration process significantly via its automated features and validation operations.

IMS Parameter Manager for z/OS, V1.2 provides the following significant enhancements improving functionality and usability of the product.
A new parameter search function enables you to search for a parameter or keyword within a group of PROCLIB members or within a single PROCLIB member.
Support is provided for the CQS range of PROCLIB members.
The IMS management functions within IMS Parameter Manager have been enhanced to provide an IMS group management function, which can be used for managing the start-up parameters associated with an IMS Sysplex system. You can now view and edit all the PROCLIB members associated with a group of IMS systems.
‘Special edit’ has been enhanced to provide assistance in correcting errors found in existing PROCLIB members using the parameter syntax rules contained in IMS Parameter Manager. This function is particularly useful when correcting problems found when using the migration and validation functions.
A Delete History function has been added to enhance the management of data stored in the history file.
