 | IBM DB2 Tools for z/OS extends a special welcome to DB2 customers who have SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions, such as R/3 and mySAP ERP running on a System z machine dedicated to the SAP ERP environment. SAP provides a set of basic monitoring and management functions for the portion of DB2 supporting your SAP environment. IBM DB2 Tools now deliver the capability to manage your SAP ERP environment, in addition to the technological leadership that they bring to your data center today. DB2 Tools have made a positive difference in total cost of ownership for hundreds of customers worldwide. We now extend this value to customers with SAP ERP applications running on a dedicated System z machine with the SAP Editions of these three Toolkits. SAP customers who do not have a System z machine dedicated to SAP can benefit from the same capabilities the toolkits offer by utilizing the individual DB2 tools that comprise the toolkits. Available Toolkits  - The IBM DB2 Automation Toolkit for z/OS the SAP Edition consists of DB2 Automation Tool, a tool which advances the goal of enterprise autonomic computing and offers enhancements to ERP environments by providing capabilities such as automating the execution of copy, reorg, and other utilities to provide better management of system resources.
- The IBM DB2 Administration Toolkit for z/OS the SAP Edition consists of DB2 Administration Tool and DB2 Object Comparison Tool, tools that work together to form a function-rich object management solution, providing quality assurance in an SAP ERP environment by comparing objects in SAP ERP database objects before they are transported from test to production.

Hardware requirements:
The Toolkits will operate on any hardware configuration that supports the required versions of DB2 and the applicable SAP ERP solution software. Software requirements:
IBM DB2 Automation Toolkit for z/OS the SAP Edition, IBM DB2 Performance Toolkit for z/OS the SAP Edition, and IBM DB2 Administration Toolkit for z/OS the SAP Edition are available only for SAP ERP solution environments. These Toolkits are offered exclusively to customers who have a System z machine dedicated to the SAP ERP environment. SAP customers who do not have a System z machine dedicated to SAP can benefit from the same capabilities the Toolkits offer by utilizing the individual DB2 tools that comprise the toolkits. - The toolkits require DB2 Version 7 or later.
