DB2 Object Comparison Tool helps you to compare and synchronize different DB2 object while maintaining system availability and object integrity.
- What’s new in Version 10.1? When used with DB2 Administration Tool Version 10.1, enhancements include support for DB2 10 for z/OS for many new DB2 10 object types and attributes.
- An easy-to-use ISPF front end that allows you to specify the objects for comparison.
- A DB2 catalog extract function that pulls object definitions from the catalog into a version file to support the comparison process.
- A GEN function which, in addition to extracting DDL, can also generate statements for the object authorizations and the catalog statistics.
- A batch compare feature that compares two version files, produces reports describing any of the object differences, and generates the information needed to apply the changes.
- Support for masking and ignore files, which address intentional differences and/or naming conventions, allow you to deal with only net changes between objects.
