Demo: IBM Migration Toolkit

This demonstration introduces you to the features of the IBM Migration Toolkit (MTK). The demonstration takes about 8 minutes, and will walk you through a sample migration. An Oracle 8i database is used as the source and DB2 UDB as the target for this demonstration, but MTK can also be used to migrate from Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix Dynamic Server, and MySQL.

In this demonstration, you are shown a complete migration from Oracle 8i to DB2 UDB using MTK. You are shown how fast and easy it is to migrate your data using the MTK 5 step process:

1. Specifying the source
2. Converting source metadata
3. Refining the metadata conversion
4. Generating scripts
5. Deploying to the target database server
