Components
Process Simulator is a component of FileNet Business Process Manager
Key features include:
Simulation Scenario Designer: With this graphical tool, users can take one or more defined processes and add additional data parameters to create a simulation scenario with resources, job duties, shifts, cycle times and more.
Simulation Console: The Simulation Console centralizes simulation management functions for users. Using the file directory view, they can quickly browse folders and open existing scenarios or create new ones. A simulation scenario can then be run in the console. Users can define simulation data to be published to IBM FileNet Process Analyzer from the console for further analysis.
Simulation Animator: Users can view actual running simulations of multiple workflows in Animator. This environment illustrates the flow of work as it moves through the process steps.
Full Integration with IBM FileNet Process Designer and Analyzer: The full integration of Process Designer, Analyzer and Simulator ensures that a closed loop optimization can be continually practiced and enforced, resulting in greater process insight, faster solution development and deployment, lower implementation risks and more granular control of processes.
IBM FileNet Process Simulator provides numerous technology and business benefits:
It reduces the risk of implementing mission-critical processes by helping you design optimal processes before they are put into production.
It continuously tunes business processes for optimal performance through the tight integration of the Design, Analysis and Simulation environments.
It helps you increase organizational agility by quickly deploying new processes into production without losing the "fidelity" of new process models.
