Dave Laverty

As the Vice President of WW Information Management Marketing at IBM, Dave Laverty is responsible for all global marketing go-to-market initiatives for Information Management including market management, leadership positioning, demand creation programs, and industry solutions in support of IBM's Smarter Planet - New Intelligence and Information Agenda strategy. Dave has more than 25 years of technology industry experience. He served as Chief Marketing Officer of Cognos for 6+ years prior to IBM's acquisition of Cognos. As a member of global management team he lead Cognos' global go-to-market strategy, encompassing both strategy and marketing execution.


Neil Isford
Vice President, Worldwide Information Management Sales

Neil Isford

Neil is responsible for worldwide sales of the products that are part the IBM Software Group's Information Management portfolio. This includes Data Management, Data Warehousing, Information Platform & Solutions, Enterprise Content Management, and Business Intelligence & Performance Management. The primary mission of his team is to lead IBM's Information on Demand initiative by helping customers unlock the business value of information.

Neal returned to the United States in January and spent two months helping make IBM's acquisition of Cognos a huge success. Cognos was not only IBM's largest purchase, but represents a very strategic play for the entire company.

For 2006 and 2007 Neil managed IBM's software business for Asia Pacific. He was responsible for sales, marketing, channels, and business development for IBM's software business, as well as ISV/Developer Relations, for the Asia Pacific countries and Japan.


Rob Thomas
Vice President, Information Management Business Development

Rob Thomas

Rob Thomas is Vice President of Business Development in IBM's Information Management Software Division. He brings extensive experience in management, business development, and consulting in the high technology and financial services industries. He has worked extensively with global businesses and his background includes experience in business and operational strategy, high technology development and engineering, manufacturing operations, and product design and development consulting. In his current role, Mr. Thomas leads business development for Information Management software, which includes IBM's enterprise data management, content management, business intelligence and analytics products. He is responsible for the channel strategy, operations and sales, including the major ISV and SI strategic partnerships.


Sandy Carter
Vice President, IBM Software Group Channels and Social Media Evangelist

Sandy Carter

Sandy Carter is Vice President, Software Group Channels. In this role, she is responsible for worldwide cross-company sales and marketing for the business partner channel for IBM Software Group. This business is one of the three major growth engines for the Software Group business, covering over 5,000 High Value partners, and where IBM invests $2.5 billion in channel programs. The business partner program at IBM has won awards from VAR Business 2008, CRN Channel Champions, Xchange Excellence, and Forrester ISV Partner Program. Recently, CRN named Ms. Carter as one of the most powerful 100 women in channels. Prior to her current position, Sandy was VP, SOA, BPM and WebSphere Strategy, Channels and Marketing. Fast Company named Ms. Carter one of the most influential women in technology.

He coaches many senior executives, CEOs, MDs, partners and sales teams, from clients across diverse industries and organizations including: Motorola, Microsoft, KPMG, IBM, Bank of America, Royal Bank of Canada, GSK, Astra Zeneca, BAE Systems and HSBC and many more. As an economist, former stockbroker and TV host, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the events he speaks at and facilitates.
