Archiving Options
IBM CommonStore for Lotus® Domino® connects the world of Lotus Notes® and Domino with the electronic archive. Three archives are supported:
Tivoli® Storage Manager (TSM) allows you to archive attachments only - so the document remains in the Notes database, but has a pointer inserted that points to the location of the attachment.
Content Manager captures, indexes, manages, and distributes electronic documents (including scanned paper, faxes, electronic documents, images, audio, video, and email)
Content Manager OnDemand stores and manages email and automatically captures, indexes, and manages print streams
For a fast entry and limited function, use Tivoli Storage Manager.
For the greatest benefit to your enterprise, use Content Manager or Content Manager OnDemand. Using these enterprise archives, CommonStore for Lotus Domino can:
offload file attachments, entire Notes documents, or any Notes database on any server
offload automatically or on user demand
compress the archived data
store it securely on hard disk, tape or optical disk.
