IBM Cognos Performance Blueprints have been created in partnership with government leaders from the local to the national levels. Blueprints are pre-defined data, process and policy software models that provide streamlined planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting functionality. They are essentially "quickstart" data models that Cognos customers can download and implement on their own at no extra cost.
Blueprints enable organizations to align strategic objectives, operational plans, people and activities. Most important, they help drive faster ROI and reduce total cost of ownership.
Cognos currently offers two blueprints for government organizations:
- Municipal Performance Management:

The IBM Cognos Program Objective Memorandum Blueprint helps defense organizations improve management accountability, visibility and control of the budgeting process.
