- can scale up to a large number of clients

The Resource Manager is a priced feature of Content Manager for z/OS V8.3 (5697-H60). Resource managers are specialized repositories optimized to manage the storage, retrieval, and archival of enterprise content such as documents and images.
- Closely associated objects can be assigned to a document; documents can be grouped in one or more folders; and folders can be placed inside of other folders.
- Users can assign indices to objects in the library to facilitate storage and retrieval. A search algorithm optimizes the time required to locate information. The system virtually eliminates loss and misplacement of file folders which is common in manual processing of information.
- Replication provides the ability to store objects in multiple locations, managed by replicated Resource Managers. This important feature for high availability pplications can provide additional disaster protection. It can also reduce bandwidth requirements and help optimize network resource consumption in distributed environments.
