Julian is a Principal Consultant with Triton Consulting, and has over 20 years relational database experience working with a number of clients within insurance, telecommunications, banking, financial services and manufacturing sectors. Over time, he has gained significant experience and practical knowledge on many aspects of the IBM Information Management portfolio, including application programming, Database Administration, technical architecture, performance tuning and systems programming.

Julian has lectured widely on DB2 subjects, both in the UK and Europe. These include presentations for the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG), Candle Performance Seminars, the UK GUIDE DB2 Working Group, BMC Seminars, and European GUIDE meetings. In March 2000, he co-authored an IBM Redbook on Java Stored Procedures. In October 2000, Julian won the "Best Overall Speaker" award at the International DB2 User Group in Geneva. Julian was a member of the IDUG European CPC for 3 years, and Conference Chair in 2001.

Julian is an IBM DB2 Gold Consultant, a regular teacher for IBM throughout Europe, and President of the International DB2 User Group.
