Craig S. Mullins
Craig S. Mullins is a data management strategist for NEON Enterprise Software in Sugar Land, TX.
Craig has more than two decades of experience in all facets of database systems development and administration, including developing and teaching DB2 and SQL Server classes, systems analysis and design, database and system administration, and data analysis and modeling. He has worked with DB2 on the mainframe since Version 1 and also has experience working with SQL Server, Sybase and IMS.
Craig has been an independent consultant, worked at several different ISVs, and within various corporate IT departments. He has worked in multiple industries including manufacturing, banking, commercial software development, education, research, utilities, and consulting. Craig was also a Research Director at Gartner Group in the late 1990s covering the topic of database administration.
Craig is a frequent contributor to computer industry publications; his regular columns appear in

- The Data Administration Newsletter, and
- IDUG Solutions Journal.
Craig is also the author of two books: DB2 Developer’s Guide, currently in its fifth edition; and Database Administration: The Complete Guide to Practices and Procedures.
