IBM Data Champion Program

Michael McBride is a Senior Database Administrator at the Florida Department of Transportation. He has 17 years of technical database experience on various database management systems, currently serving as the primary DB2 DBA for enterprise database support.

Since 1999, Michael has been an active volunteer for the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG). He worked up through the ranks of the IDUG North American Conference Planning Committee until selected as the Chair for the IDUG 2004 North American Conference in Orlando. Since then, he has been working on the IDUG Board of Directors with primary assignments as the IDUG Regional User Group (RUG) Liaison, and Global Events Liaison. Michael is currently the IDUG Board of Directors President Elect.
