Rebecca Bond
Rebecca Bond is an industry recognized and respected independent DB2 LUW Security Consultant and author of the only current book on the topic, Understanding DB2 9 Security. Rebecca is adept at designing efficient, secure database architectures; encouraging very large databases to behave; accurately sizing environments; tuning DB2 to work well with complex applications (including Peoplesoft Global Payroll); and providing expert problem solving outcomes across the complete technical landscape.
Identified by IBM as a DB2 Subject Matter Expert, Rebecca participates with other SMEs to write and validate DB2 certification exams. She also holds numerous IBM DB2 Expert and Advanced certifications and achieved her first certification on the product in 1999. Additionally she is a frequent technical reviewer for other authors and has published articles on security topics in the IDUG Solution Journal.
