Who is an IBM Information Champion?
An IBM Information Champion is someone who makes exceptional contributions to the Information Management community. The contributions can come via discussion forums, blogs, articles and books, speaking engagements and event and user group participation. An Information Champion can live in any country.
How will IBM select the Information Champions?
Exceptional community members are nominated by peers in their field. A panel of IBM employees then reviews each nominee’s contributions over the past 12 to 18 months for quality and impact on the community.
What is the duration of the Information Champion designation?
Information Champions receive the title for one year, during which they enjoy the perks associated with the program. There is a new nomination process each year. Existing Information Champions are eligible to be nominated again.
Are Information Champions compensated for their role?
No. Information Champions do get some program benefits like easy access to IBM software, direct links to IBM labs and invitations to special events. But they are not compensated nor employed by IBM.
How can I become an Information Champion?
Individuals can either nominate themselves, or be nominated by their peers based on their contributions to Information Management communities in the past 12 to 18 months. Nominees are compared to the contributions of other nominees during the same time period. If you know of someone who you feel is worthy, nominate them.
How can I contact IBM regarding the Information Champion program?

Do Information Champions have any obligations to IBM?
