FAQ
- My widget seems to perform slowly?
The widget incorporates a lot of user experience features. Some of these features require a good amount of processing to complete. Try updating your desktop's performance settings. In most cases, you can do so by visiting 'Control Panel->Power' and setting 'High Performance' there.
- What platforms are supported by the Smart SOA Widget?
The widget was designed to run on a desktop via the Flash mProjector program. This program is avaiable on most Windows and Mac desktops, but may not be available on other platforms at this time.
- I ran and used the widget successfully after downloading, but I noticed the desktop shortcut is pointing to an incorrect location (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\4FG149MP\SOA.widget.exe). Now when I try to run the widget from the desktop shortcut, it fails to find the executable. How do I fix this problem?
If your initial execution of the widget is done by selecting 'run' when downloading it, the desktop shortcut will point to the temporary location for files set within your browser. Once you close the widget, if this temporary location is cleaned up for any reason, your shortcut will fail to find the .exe file.
If you have not saved the widget .exe to your local machine, do so from the link above on this page. Right-click on your widget desktop shortcut, select 'properties', and change the 'target' path to point to the widget .exe that is saved locally on your desktop machine.
