IBM Connect 2015

Seize the Moment

Thank you for joining us and see you next year.

Disruptive technological developments present organizations with huge challenges and opportunities. Analytics, Cloud, Commerce, Mobile, Social, Security, Infrastructure and Systems − what is happening and how does the future of business look like?

Inspiration for IT and business professionals

More than 500 business and IT professionals gathered at IBM Connect 2015 on June 2 in Ghent ICC. Their main reasons for joining were:

Ultimate client experience

Everyone talks about the perfect client experience and how important it is. But what does this actually involve behind the scenes? IT, marketing, finance and HR: each faces its own challenges. At IBM Connect 2015, participants experienced step-by-step just what customers expect in their field. They discovered how technologies for cloud, analytics, mobile, social and security could help them to achieve this. This unique experience opened their eyes to new opportunities for providing the best possible customer service.

A word of thanks to all participants, speakers, and all partners, for their contribution to IBM Connect!

Werner Jacobs
CFO & CIO De Lijn
Graduated in 1993 as a commercial engineer, Werner started his professional career with Belgacom where he was responsible as a finance director for several business units.
Amongst other projects, he launched ADSL, financially managed the Corporate Customers Divisions, the network division and also ICT. After his Belgacom years, he moved to BPost as finance director for the mail division and later on was promoted to Group Controller, responsible for managing the budgeting and forecasting cycle together with the Strategic planning and regulatory accounting.
In 2009, he moved to the De Lijn where he assumed responsibility of both Finance & ICT on an executive level.

Bert Marievoet
Country Lead Twitter Belgium
Bert Marievoet spent his last decade figuring out how to make digital advertising work best for local and global brand advertisers. He did this at Proximus, Skynet and De Persgroep. Besides that, Marievoet became intrigued by the rise of social media ‒ which started to infiltrate both his personal and professional life, probably more than he was willing to admit. However, there was one platform that captivated him in a way no other one had ever done before, that was Twitter. Marievoet’s mission is to help companies and their brands understand how to get the most out of Twitter.
