 | How To Order WebSphere Development Studio Client is a free entitlement with WebSphere Development Studio (5722-WDS). New orders of V5R3 and V5R4 5722-WDS will be entitled to the new V6.0 workstation tools, IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client. Existing V5R3 5722-WDS customers, who have a current iSeries SW Maintenance or SW Subscription contract and who wish to obtain the V6.0 workstation tools, may use the following no-charge feature numbers to order the entitled V6.0 workstation tools: - To order IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client V6.0, use 5722-WDS feature number 2656.
- To order IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition V6.0, use 5722-WDS feature number 2657. Customers with a license for WebSphere Development Studio Advanced Edition and an active iSeries SW Maintenance or SW Subscription contract purchased before March 16, 2004, will continue to get technical support and/or upgrades for WebSphere Development Studio Advanced Edition through the AAS channel until their SW Maintenance or SW Subscription contract expires. When the AAS Software Maintenance contract expires, customers will be able to purchase Software Maintenance for WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition through the Passport Advantage channel. When WebSphere Development Studio Advanced Edition customers move from AAS SW Maintenance or SW Subscription to Passport Advantage SW Maintenance, the SW Maintenance renewal will be priced based on the number of workstations which they choose to have covered with SW Maintenance. The customer's license entitlement is unchanged.
Refresh packs are available to update WebSphere Development Studio Client and WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition to V6.0.1. You can obtain the V6.0.1 refresh packs automatically through the Rational Product Updater after installing V6.0. You can also obtain V6.0.1 updates by installing the 5722-WDS PTFs. If you are interested in purchasing the workstation products only, order via the Passport Advantage Channel. Alternatively, contact your IBM Business Partner for assistance. |
