2005 International Enterprise Generation Language User Conference

IBM, Xact Consulting, and ASIST would like to invite you to join us in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on March 7-8, for the 2005 International Enterprise Generation Language User Conference.  The agenda includes a variety of product presentations and demonstrations to show those attending the breadth and depth of this technology embedded in WebSphere Studio Enterprise Developer, in WebSphere Development Studio, and in Rational Web Developer.

The Conference will begin promptly at 9:00am on Monday, March 7, in the Khoury Auditorium of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and will conclude at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 8.  While there is no charge to attend the meeting, attendees are expected to pay their own travel and living expenses.  IBM will provide lunch on each day of the conference and will pay for parking for attendees who drive to the meeting site.  Information about hotels in the Chapel Hill area and directions to Khoury Auditorium will be provided to those who register for the event.

This meeting will be of great interest to any customer currently using IBM’s VisualAge Generator or Cross System Product (CSP) fourth generation languages or a number of other 4GLs.  It should also be of great interest to COBOL and RPG users who would like to protect their investment in existing applications while migrating those programs to the web or to another platform.  Customers who want to develop and deploy Web applications but have little or no Java skills in-house will find the Web development capabilities of EGL extremely exciting and should attend to see and hear about how that can be done as well.  Agenda modules will discuss migration from other 4GLs to EGL as well as from COBOL or RPG to EGL.  Other modules will deal with Web application development by developers with little or no Java skills.  In short, attendees will be introduced to IBM’s strategic 4th Generation Language IDE for now and the future and will be shown the breadth and depth of this powerful application development technology.
