Process Library
The Rational Process Library offers the industry's most robust collection of best practices guidance for software and systems development, management, and governance. Leverage a diverse set of method content, guidance, templates, and processes with more than 100 selectable and customizable process best practices that can be applied to a variety of processes and domains.
Included in IBM Rational Method Composer, the Rational Process Library enables you to ramp up your organization and projects more quickly with reusable methods and processes to:
- Enhance productivity with industry-proven configurable techniques and practices to fit individual project needs
- Support team collaboration and individual practitioners with context-sensitive process guidance across geographies and functions
- Enable early risk mitigation using iterative processes centered around business priorities and stakeholder needs
The Rational Process Library includes the IBM Practices, a new library made up of practices that can be independently adopted, or composed to create agile and scaled agile processes. Practices are also part of the Measured Capability Improvement Framework (MCIF) and Agile@Scale.
The Rational Process Library also includes the Rational Unified Process, or RUP. The RUP software process framework has guided some 500,000 developers around the world in a broad range of software and systems delivery and implementation and effective project management development projects.
