IBM Rational Host Access Transformation Services (HATS) V7.5
The IBM Rational HATS Toolkit is a set of plug-ins for the Eclipse-based IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform (Rational SDP). The toolkit lets you develop a new application that generates a GUI for you 3270 and 5250 applications. Develop your new applications a step at a time, previewing and saving each change you make. Over time, or as quickly as desired, your IBM Rational HATS application can be streamlined, making it easier to use than the host applications whose data it presents, and possibly moving functions from the host applications into your IBM Rational HATS applications. Your new application can be accessed from a browser, portlet, rich client, or even a mobile device.
From IBM Rational HATS macros, you can generate IBM Rational HATS Integration Objects, which are Java beans that encapsulate interactions with a host application, and use them to create Web pages and Web services. You can also use IBM Rational HATS Integration Objects in Enterprise JavaBeans.
The WebFacing tool is now an optional component of IBM Rational HATS. You can continue to use these tools independently to generate applications that reface 5250 applications. Both WebFacing and IBM Rational HATS developers can work seamlessly with their existing projects, create new independent project, or create combined projects.
IBM Rational Host On-Demand V11
IBM Rational Host On-Demand provides cost-effective and security-rich, browser-based and non-browser-based host access to users in intranet and Internet environments, without any programming required. Install IBM Rational Host On-Demand on a Web server, which helps simplify and centralize administrative management and deployment.
IBM Rational Host On-Demand uses Java technology to help open the doors to your host data directly from your browser. Just click a hyperlink to launch the IBM Rational Host On-Demand Java applet to provide user connectivity to critical host applications and data.
With support for File Transfer Protocol (FTP), TN3270E, TN5250, VT100, VT220, VT420, Secure Shell (SSH) and IBM CICS Transaction Gateway access, users have a single interface to their key host data. And because IBM Rational Host On-Demand is Java technology-based, its interface has the same design across various types of operating environments.
IBM Personal Communications V6
Personal Communications is a host-communication and terminal-emulation product that features 3270, 5250 and VT emulation, FTP client, SNA application support, and SNA and TCP/IP connectivity. It helps enable security-rich access to critical business systems for virtually every user.
Personal Communications can bring robust personal networking functions to the workstation and can use your existing networking capabilities, including SNA applications and technologies, such as Advanced Program-to-Program Communication (APPC) and HPR. It also offers TCP/IP support capabilities and an extensive API set, including Emulator High-Level Language Applications Programming Interface (EHLLAPI), through programming languages such as C++, VBScript, and Java.
Communications Server V6.4
The IBM family of Distributed Communications Servers offers reliable and security-rich support for on demand networks, connecting users to enterprise host applications and data over diverse networks -- whether SNA, TCP/IP, intranet, extranet, or Internet. You choose applications based on your business needs, not on your network protocols.
Communications Servers can provide all-in-one communications services between workstations and host systems, as well as other workstations. Features include:
Full-function SNA gateway
TN3270E Server
Telnet Redirector (not available on Communications Server for Windows)
