 | SMARTEAM Navigator (NVR) exploits standard Web technologies to provide remote individuals and teams with intuitive, light-weight, read-only access to SMARTEAM-managed information, from standard Internet browsers. NVR allows you to perform advanced searches and—using powerful Java™ streaming technology—view documents securely without actually downloading them. NVR allows you to view and annotate engineering and Microsoft® Office documents remotely. Regardless of physical location, design team members have secure access to corporate information, and can participate in and contribute to the development and review process. Used in combination with SMARTEAM Workflow (WFL), NVR lets you to participate in workflow processes at any time. NVR is an HTML-based client, running on the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Web browsers, on Microsoft Windows®, IBM AIX®, SUN Solaris and HP-UX platforms. NVR communicates with SMARTEAM Foundation, which uses Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) or the IBM WebSphere® Application Server. This product is available through the SMARTEAM Navigator Configuration (SNV) only.
