 | ENOVIA VPM Workpackage exchange is a decision support tool to decide how to integrate supplier’s CATIA V5 design back into an ENOVIA V5 VPM/CATIA V5 installation. Supplier's PLM environment can be heterogeneous as long as it uses CATIA V5 (ENOVIA V5 VPM, ENOVIAvpm, SMARTEAM, and file-based).
To ease the reconciliation process, VPM Workpackage exchange proposes an intuitive GUI running in CATIA V5 that helps the end-user making the best decision on how to reconcile data from the supplier. The GUI is also very flexible (ability to switch between different visualization mode - list view - preview - compare view - etc.) allowing the support different methodologies. Finally to save bandwidth during data exchange, VPM Workpackage exchange allows for Delta Reconciliation. The end-user can reconcile data from supplier with broken links. The new VPM Workpackage exchange allows the reconciliation of CATIA V5 native files in ENOVIA V5 VPM. This new reconciliation capability is a breakthrough for the supply chain community as the CATIA V5 associativity is kept across the supply chain. - Support of native CATIA V5 data Extra CATIA V5 objects and links are available for reconciliation. In this release, the designer uses the reconciliator to analyze and set reconciliation rules on the engineering workpackage. The reconciliator technology being based on CATIA V5 native files allows actors across the supply chain to extract this engineering package from ENOVIA V5 VPM, ENOVIAvpm, SMARTEAM, etc. using the save as file function in CATIA V5. The reconciliation process is done through the reconciliator in CATIA V5 and allows the engineering package data to be integrated in ENOVIA V5 VPM, ENOVIAvpm and soon SMARTEAM (not this release).
