 | CATIA - Live Functional Tolerancing and Annotation (FTA) Review gives users access to geometrical specifications that allow them to directly leverage 3D information and remove the need for 2D drawings. A Live application that runs natively on top of any 3DLive configuration (CATIA 3DLive and ENOVIA 3DLive), CATIA - Live FTA Review enhances understanding and improves decision making by giving users direct insight to dimensioning and tolerancing annotations, geometrical elements and features, and the relationships between each element. It also provides the underlying geometry semantics associated with each model. This application displays the FTA annotations and allows users to query or filter the annotations according to their requirements. CATIA - Live FTA Review enables the following capabilities directly within the 3DLive environment: - Visualize FTA features (Views, Captures and Annotations) in the 3D viewer
- Visualize FTA features in the PLM tree
- Show/No-show individual 3D annotation and all annotations of a given type
- Display FTA Captures
- Remove display of capture clipping plane
- Filter 3D Annotations
- Query links between FTA features and geometry
Detailed description The following capabilites are available for managing the Show/No-show of individual 3D annotations and of all annotations of a given type: - Hide all FTA annotations, views and captures by using the Hide contextual menu command. This command is available on both the feature in the PLM tree and its 3D display.
This capability is also available on the FTA data sub-nodes (Captures, Views, Datums, Geometrical tolerances, Dimensions, Roughness, Welds, Notes, and Construction geometries) and the annotation set in the PLM tree. It hides all FTA features of the corresponding type. - Show all FTA annotations, views and captures by using the Show contextual menu command. This command is only available on the features in the PLM tree.
This capability is also available on the FTA data sub-nodes (Captures, Views, Datums, Geometrical tolerances, Dimensions, Roughness, Welds, Notes, and Construction geometries) in the PLM tree. It shows all the FTA features of the corresponding type. The user can display FTA captures by using the Display contextual menu command. This command is available on both the feature in the PLM tree and its 3D display (if any). Users can filter the display of annotations in the 3D viewer using the following criteria (same as in CATIA authoring window): - All: Displays all the dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
- None: Hides all the dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
- By type (size, datum, form, non-semantic, position orientation, and runout):
- Displays all the dimensions, tolerances and annotations that correspond to the selected type.
- By sub-type (Linear Size, Angular size, Second linear size, Oriented linear dimension, Oriented angular dimension, Basic Dimension, Dimension, Simple datum, Datum, datum targets, Straightness, Flatness, Circularity, Cylindricity, Profile tolerance of any line, Profile tolerance of a surface, Pattern location, Roughness, Weld symbol, Perpendicularity, Parallelism, Angularity, Position, Concentricity, Symmetry, Position linear profile, Position surfacic profile, Total Runout, Circular Runout, Geometrical tolerance, Text, Flag Note, each NOA type): Displays all the dimensions, tolerances, and annotations that correspond to the selected sub-type.
- By value: Displays tolerances greater than (>), less than (<), equal to (=), greater than or equal to (>=), less than or equal to (<=) the value entered. Limited to size and position orientation and runout types
- Default tolerances: Displays all the dimensions, tolerances and annotations that are default
- By feature (Annotation set, View, Dimension, Tolerance, Annotation, Geometrical element): Displays all the dimensions, tolerances and annotations that belong to the selected annotation set or the selected view or that are applied to the selected geometrical element or the selected dimension, tolerance and annotation.
- By capture: Performs the display of the selected capture
The Refine filter option filters out tolerances that are currently filtered. It allows the user to filter from the current annotation filtering in relation to another criteria. For example, a user can filter geometrical tolerances first, then select this option and filter these geometrical tolerances by values. This is equivalent to the AND Boolean operator. The show geometry attachments option displays (in addition to the filter criteria) all annotations needed to get the leader or the dimension extension line that shows the geometry to which the filtered annotations are attached. (This additional display is based on the annotation grouping information.) The Results allows the following number of: - Specified tolerances and annotations in the session.
- Tolerances and annotations displayed according to the filter criteria When the FTA features are displayed:
- If the user selects a semantic datum feature either in the 3D or PLM tree:
- All related datum targets are highlighted.
- All geometrical elements to which the datum feature is applied are highlighted.
- If the user selects a semantic datum target either in the 3D or PLM tree:
- All related basic dimensions are highlighted.
- All geometrical elements to which the datum target is applied are highlighted.
- If the user selects a datum reference frame in the PLM tree:
- All related basic dimensions are highlighted.
- All related datum features are highlighted
- If the user selects a semantic geometrical tolerance either in the 3D or PLM tree:
- All related basic dimensions are highlighted.
- All datum features and related datum targets (if a datum reference frame is used) are highlighted.
- All geometrical elements to which the geometrical tolerance is applied are highlighted.
- If the user selects any other annotation semantic geometrical tolerance either in the 3D or PLM tree, all geometrical elements the geometrical tolerance is applied to are highlighted.
- If the user selects a geometrical element, all the dimensions, tolerances and annotations that are applied to it are highlighted.
Note: Users can perform multi-selections. The described behavior will be applied for each individual selection. |
