ENOVIA Live Collaborative Review (LCV)

Overview

The ENOVIA - Live Collaborative Review Product (LCV) allows a user to perform sophisticated collaborative reviews using powerful visualization, navigation, and communication tools.

This product adds robust collaborative review capabilities to the powerful search, visualize and navigate paradigm delivered in 3DLive. Providing out-of-the-box support for CATIA - 3DLive and ENOVIA 3DLive, ENOVIA - Live Collaborative Review delivers annotated views, 3D measurements, and 3D cross sections for collaborative studies and presentations. ENOVIA - Live Collaborative Review facilitates collaboration between all team members involved in reviews and inspections.

Product highlights include:

  • Allows collaboration on the same project review from different location through the 3D Heads-up display in 3DLive.
  • Provides 2D viewing and 3D navigation tools for review and inspection
  • Delivers sectioning and measurement to the powerful 3DLive environment
  • Facilitates efficient collaborative reviews by supporting 2D and 3D annotations.
  • Supports publishing through report creation in 3D XML format
  • Native interoperability on the 3DLive platform

ENOVIA - Live Collaborative Review offers the following main functions:

Annotation

  • Complete design review environment for exchange of view points and annotations between all team members involved in the 3D review.
  • 2D and 3D markers.
  • Red-lining and free-hand annotations on dedicated viewpoints.
  • Graphical properties of markups that can be edited.
  • Management of font, size, and other graphical properties for 3D annotations.
  • Import/Export 2D annotations as XML.
  • 2D annotations that are no longer associated with the viewpoint to allow for a permanent display of the annotation regardless of the viewpoint modification (which is particularly valuable in a simulation context).
  • 2D specific shapes imported and inserted as symbols for customization purposes.
  • Symbols inserted in annotation for more comprehensive annotations (same symbol list as in V5 Drafting) - This capability is available only on Microsoft Windows NT.
  • 2D measurement that is available as annotations for dimensioning information retrieval from any 2D document.
  • Ability to move 3D annotations.

Measurement Capabilities

  • Measurement between two geometrical entities
    • Measurement of the minimum distance and, if applicable, the angle between two entities that can be either points, edges, surfaces, or volumes.
    • Measurement of the minimum distance between two arc centers respectively defined by three points on a given geometry
    • Ability to chain measurements
    • Measurement between cylinder axes: when selecting cylinders, measurements will be performed on axes by default
    • Measurement between an element and the infinite line perpendicular to the screen under the mouse
  • Multiple types of measurements on elements
    • Coordinates of a point
    • Length of an edge plus radius and angle in case of an arc.
    • Area and center of gravity of a surface.
    • Axis of a cylinder.
    • Radius on a cylinder and on a sphere.
    • Volume, area, center of gravity and inertia matrix of a part.
    • Volume, area, center of gravity and inertia matrix of a product.
    • Leading vector of a line.
    • Type of conics (ellipse, parabola, hyperbola).
    • Plane coefficients (A, B, C, D).
    • Ability to display measure items results in any secondary V4 and V5 axis system in design mode.
    • Ability to choose whether to perform exact or approximate calculation when measuring exact data. This lets users select the level of accuracy and obtain exact results when working with exact data.

Sectioning

Delivers dynamic sectioning and cut with mouse-based manipulation and saves the results in 3D XML format for reuse. Users can control the positioning of a section plane and create section plane results.

Enterprise wide 3D review capabilities

All activities performed by one participant are instantly visible to other review participants. Other participants can take control of the session and perform any of the review activities including sectioning, measuring and annotating the 3D product being reviewed.

Save annotations to document the review session and accelerate decision making

Users can save annotations as a lightweight 3D XML file. The 3D XML format, written entirely in XML, the universal open standard for structured data, is supported across all the Dassault Systemes' brands.
