The SMART (Statistics and Mining in Academic Research and Training) program prepares future business leaders to solve tough challenges using industry-leading IBM SPSS technology. Instructors at participating schools assign their MBA students specific business problems to be solved using predictive analytics.
The SMART program encourages the use of predictive analytics and data mining in academia by providing hands-on, practical data mining experience at select universities. The program is designed as a graduate-level lab or practicum experience in which students perform analysis of structured and unstructured data around a commercially-defined challenge or opportunity.
