Customer Advisory Boards

The goal of Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) is simple: to provide a unified, open forum for a select group of forward-thinking customers. As a CAB member, you’ll gain a greater understanding of our product strategies, provide your thoughts and ideas and help ensure that what we develop aligns with your vision for using analytics to achieve your goals.

Depending on your interest, the Business Analytics group runs a number of CABs that cover our major product families, including: IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, IBM Cognos TM1, IBM Cognos Planning, IBM Cognos Controller, IBM Cognos FSR (formerly Clarity Systems) and IBM SPSS products.

Benefits

There are some great side benefits, too: being able to preview future in-the-lab products in advance of other customers, and establishing relationships with like-minded customers and IBM Development and Product Management teams that you can take advantage of away from our meeting.

  • Influence product development: CAB members will provide direct influence over future product development. This helps ensure our offerings are aligned with their needs—long- and short-term.
  • Relationship building: Allow customers to build relationships with key IBM Business Analytics management teams across development, product management, marketing and the Innovation Center, as well as with fellow, like-minded customers.
  • Early access to technology: Gives CAB members first access to product in our labs. It also allows them the opportunity to participate in our beta programs.
  • Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) Participation: The CABs are viewed as incubators for membership on to our SAB.

How it works

We meet face-to-face at Business Analytics Forum in the Fall or Vision in the spring. Our expectation is simple: we want your active participation—engage when you can and speak your mind, and second, confidentially share information on the current state of your Business Analytics solution deployment.
