
About the Customer Advisory Boards
The Business Analytics group runs seven CAB’s that cover our major product families, including TM1, Business Intelligence, Cognos Planning, Controller, SPSS, Cognos Express (Mid-Market) and Clarity Systems around FSR.
The goal of CAB is simple: to provide a unified, open forum for a select group of forward-thinking customers to understand our short- and longer-term product strategies, and to provide their thoughts and ideas, thereby ensuring our future developments are aligned with their business analytics journeys.
There are some great side benefits, too: being able to preview future in-the-lab products in advance of other customers, and establishing relationships with like-minded customers and IBM Development and Product Management teams that you can take advantage of away from our meeting.
Benefits
- Influence product development – CAB members will provide direct influence over future product development. This helps ensure our offerings are aligned with their needs—long- and short-term.
- Relationship building – Allow customers to build relationships with key IBM Business Analytics management teams across Development, Product Management, Marketing and the Innovation Center, as well as with fellow, like-minded customers.
- Early access to technology – Gives CAB members first access to product in our Labs. It also allows them the opportunity to participate in our Beta programs.
- SAB Participation – The CABs are viewed as incubators for membership on to our Strategic Advisory Board (SAB).
How it Works
We meet face-to-face at Business Analytics Forum in the Fall, and virtually throughout the year for exclusive product updates and sub-CAB special interest groups where we’re interested in involving you in specific product development topics that are relevant to your organization and role. Our expectation is simple: we want your active participation—engage when you can and speak your mind, and second, confidentially share information on the current state of your Business Analytics solution deployment.
