Reporting and Dashboards for InfoSphere Warehouse
Cognos 8 BI "starter pack" will be bundled with IBM InfoSphere Warehouse and a limited license of InfoSphere Warehouse will be distributed with Cognos 8 BI solutions. The bundling of these technologies will make it easier for clients to adopt complete business intelligence and data warehousing solutions that quickly generate a positive return on investment.
Data Integration & Quality for Cognos 8 BI
The Data Integration & Quality offering for Cognos 8 BI provides the power of Information Server to help fast track the integration and delivery of trusted information into Cognos reports and cubes. This offering includes IBM Information Server data quality, ETL and metadata pre-integrated with IBM Cognos 8 BI and Data Manager. Metadata integration provides data lineage to track the basis for business decisions. IBM Cognos 8 Data Manager continues to be available stand alone for basic data mart loading. Data integration and quality offerings from other vendors will continue to be supported.
Portal-based Actionable Dashboards
IBM WebSphere Portal Dashboard Accelerator "starter kit" will be pre-integrated and bundled with Cognos 8 BI for rapidly building portal-based, actionable dashboards that enable users to take action and initiate operational transactions based on reviews of key business metrics. The WebSphere Portal Dashboard Accelerator will also now include the Cognos 8 BI "starter pack" along with a new Cognos Builder, which makes it easy for users to create portal and dashboard components that include Cognos reports or analytics at a fraction of the development cost.
BI-Powered BPM
For both IBM FileNet P8 BPM and WebSphere Process Server (WPS), BI-Powered BPM leverages IBM Cognos 8 BI content to support user decisions or automate processes. It also provides visibility and insight into the overall performance of business processes and supports an events engine to initiate processes based on IBM Cognos 8 scorecard thresholds, including predicted violations.
IBM Balanced Warehouses with IBM Cognos 8 BI
IBM Cognos 8 BI software will be included in C-Class Balanced Warehouse offerings, which provide pre-tested, scalable and fully-integrated system components of IBM data warehouse software, server and storage technologies. The C-Class Balanced Warehouses offer small and medium-sized businesses an unprecedented, simplified and complete solution for integrating and maintaining multiple data and information resources in a scalable and versatile data warehouse.
IBM Compliance Warehouse for Legal Control
The first integrated offering in the industry that combines software, hardware and services in a unified environment to enable organizations to achieve, sustain and prove compliance with multiple legal and compliance mandates while reducing cost, complexity and risk.
The IBM Compliance Warehouse for Legal Control features an information vault for storing all required evidence, complemented by tools that automatically identify, classify and aggregate content and process information from multiple sources, and that allow organizations to analyze, monitor and deliver that information for legal and operational purposes.
