"Vision, Unity, Innovation"

November 10 to 13, 2020

EVOKE CASCON is the premier industrial and academic conference for advanced studies in computer science and software engineering sponsored by the IBM Canada Laboratory. EVOKE CASCON attracts software developers, researchers, innovators, technologists and decision makers from academia, industry, and government, who come together to learn about technology trends, present papers, participate in workshops, and exhibit prototypes and solutions. The EVOKE CASCON program features thought-provoking keynotes, original research papers, technological industry talks, stimulating workshops, and an engaging technology expo. Conference proceedings are published in the ACM Digital Library.

Workshops at EVOKE CASCON 2020 will provide a forum to present, discuss, and debate issues, problems, ideas, technology gaps, work-in-progress, and/or directions. The format of a workshop may include expert panels, hands-on exercises, and discussions. Long abstracts between 1000 to 1500 words in ACM format (use ACM_SigConf style) will be published in the CASCON Proceedings and will be stored in the ACM Digital Library. It should be written in PAST tense, typically including the abstract, rationale, technical/research scope, organizers, workshop format, and expected outcomes.

Industry talks at EVOKE CASCON 2020 will give audience a quick overview on different industrial technological topics. Length of each talk may range from 15 mins to 45 mins.

The Expo at EVOKE CASCON 2020 provides an excellent opportunity to highlight research results and generate interest in upcoming products and product areas. Exhibits on emerging technologies are encouraged. The format of an exhibit may be a demonstration or poster presentation.

Note on COVID-19:

Our hearts go out to all those who may be battling COVID-19. The conference this year will be held in a virtual forum, with options for participants to attend live or view replays. Papers accepted and long abstracts of accepted workshops for EVOKE CASCON 2020 will be published in the ACM Digital Library regardless of the conference format.

We cordially invite workshop, industry talk and exhibits proposals in the broad areas of computer science, software engineering, software applications, and data science in general, including but not limited to cognitive computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, quantum computing, security and privacy, Internet of Things (IoT), software-as-a-service, adaptive systems, service systems, database technologies, compiler technologies, machine learning, hardware accelerators, mobile application frameworks and platforms, blockchain, DevOps, and business intelligence.

We also encourage workshop, industry talk and exhibits proposals that describe applications, including but limited to the following areas: healthcare, finance, smart cities, smart environment, supply chain, smart commerce, smart grid and energy, connected and driverless cars, smart design, wearable computing, and social computing.

In addition to technological topics and applications, we invite submissions that focus on innovations in, and the innovative use of, products, platforms, and solutions.
