IBM Vision Plan
The IBM Vision Plan provides coverage for standard eye exams at 100% coverage if you use an eye doctor who participates in the VSP network. Benefits are also paid for glasses or contact lenses.

Each time you need care, you choose whether to receive care from one of the 19,000 ophthalmologists and optometrists nationwide who participate in the VSP network. Or you can go out-of-network, and see the provider of your choice. With out-of-network care, reimbursement is based on a schedule of benefits.

For more details about coverage and provisions under the IBM Vision Plan, see the vision options comparison chart.

VSP Vision Card
With the VSP Vision Card, you can save money on eye exams, lenses and frames, contacts, and laser vision correction through providers that participate in the VSP nationwide network. You pay no monthly contributions for the card, and you will automatically receive it unless when you enroll, you specifically choose not to receive it. Be sure to present your card at the time you purchase your eyewear.

For more details about coverage and provisions under the VSP Vision Card, see the vision options comparison chart.

No coverage
Since vision coverage is optional, you can decline coverage from IBM. If you don't elect vision coverage during the enrollment period, you won't have another opportunity until next year's enrollment period, unless you have a qualified status change that allows you to change your vision coverage.
