Replacement products
IBM will withdraw Rational Application Developer Standard Edition for WebSphere® from marketing and will provide customers an evolution to Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software. Customers who currently own licenses of Rational Application Developer Standard Edition for WebSphere will obtain a one-to-one license entitlement swap to Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software upon renewal of maintenance.
Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software contains all of the capability of Rational Application Developer Standard Edition for WebSphere and also provides the following support:
- WebSphere Application Server V8.5 + Liberty profile support
- WebSphere Portal V8.0 support
- Problem determination tools
- Line level code coverage
- Static analysis
- Enterprise Connectivity
- J2C tools
- Adapters to CICS® , IMS™ , SAP, Siebel, JDE, Oracle, and PeopleSoft
- Lifecycle integrations with Rational Team Concert™
- Collaborative debug
- Collaborative code coverage
