Effective July 14, 2009, IBM will withdraw from marketing, IBM® General Parallel File System (GPFS) programs and features licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement.
On or after the effective date of withdrawal, you can no longer order these product features directly from IBM or an IBM Distributor.
Effective July 14, 2009, the following Software Maintenance (SWMA) programs will be withdrawn:

Effective July 14, 2009, the following features will be withdrawn:

Replacement program information
For new GPFS billing information, refer to Software Announcement 209-105, dated July 14, 2009.
A new set of Software Maintenance program numbers are being announced to reflect a new client/server price structure which is in place for GPFS.
Current Software Maintenance entitlements with the withdrawn programs will be accepted toward the new announced entitlement offerings referenced in the above announcement. As entitlements are migrated to the new offering, upgrades will be accepted.

For new orders, the customer-requested arrival date (CRAD) can be no later than July 14, 2009, the effective date of withdrawal or end of life date (EOD).

Technical support continues to be available. The end of support for these products will be announced a minimum of 12 months before the termination.
