Effective June 9, 2009, the IBM® System Storage™ information infrastructure - information security with encryption solution offering has been modified.
The following changes are being made with this announcement:
- changes have been made to the list of Eligible solutions, and new solutions have been added
- due to revisions made to the packaging of encryption management software, in order to implement encryption key management, IBM Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager software is required and must be ordered separately, outside the terms of this offering
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
This announcement supersedes Announcement Letter 308-576, dated August 12, 2008.
The offer
If you acquire a selected eligible new IBM System Storage encryption solution, you can receive an offering discount off the total IBM Single Unit Purchase Price (SUPP) of the solution.
The amount of the discount is dependent upon the eligible solution acquired.

Start and/or end dates
Orders must be received by IBM on or after June 9, 2009.

The discount offered under the terms of this offering is applicable only to the fixed configurations listed in the Qualifying/Eligible products section of this announcement.
Additional features and/or feature quantities must be ordered separately. Orders containing features or feature quantities in excess of those listed in the Qualifying/Eligible products section will not qualify for the offering discount.
In order to implement encryption key management, IBM Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager software is required, and must be ordered separately, outside the terms of this offering. Refer to IBM Announcement letter 209-020 (United States), or A09-0109 (Canada), dated January 13, 2009, for details.
