Overview

IBM InfoSphere Information Server and InfoSphere QualityStage product modules can help your organization derive more value from the complex, heterogeneous information spread across your systems. The effectiveness of this information depends on the quality of data driving the systems and business processes of enterprises. Organizations are unable to remain competitive without having accurate, concise information to drive decisions and interact with customers and business partners. The concept of trusted information makes a comprehensive approach to data quality necessary.

InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification V8.1 and WebSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification V8.0.1 provide USPS-certified address verification and enhancement for U.S. addresses and are available for purchase only in the U.S. and its territories. These modules are available as add-on modules to IBM InfoSphere QualityStage to help verify the completeness, consistency, and validity of U.S. address information in corporate databases, allowing businesses to certify U.S. addresses as "deliverable" and thus qualify for USPS discounts.

Also, new USPS regulations call for charging extra fees to businesses that mail undeliverable letters.

Previously announced IBM InfoSphere QualityStage module offerings are available to help businesses standardize, verify, correct, and enhance international address information. For detailed information regarding the specific functions these modules provide to users of IBM InfoSphere QualityStage, refer to Software Announcement 207-097, dated May 08, 2007.

Server

Server is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. A Server is a computer system that executes requested procedures, commands, or applications to one or more user or client devices. A Proof of Entitlement (PoE) must be obtained for each server regardless of the number of processor cores or partitions in the server on which the program runs or each server managed by the program. Where blade technology is employed, each blade is considered a separate server.
