Overview

IBM WebSphere^® Transformation Extender Packs accelerate and help eliminate risks in the development of data transformation, validation, and integration services provided by WebSphere Transformation Extender, a universal transformation engine deployable in batch, event-driven, and embedded IT scenarios. IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA V1.0 helps banks and financial institutions meet their compliance obligations to the European Union initiative to have a pan-European electronic payments infrastructure replace individual country-specific systems. This initiative is called the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and is regulated by the European Payments Council (EPC).

With WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA V1.0, you get:

Description

WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA helps accelerate development and deployment of WebSphere Transformation Extender solutions. WebSphere Transformation Extender Design Studio includes the tools to deliver transformation solutions using the contents of the pack. Solutions can be deployed to any of the following base editions of WebSphere Transformation Extender run-time environment:

WebSphere Transformation Extender
WebSphere Transformation Extender with Command Server
WebSphere Transformation Extender with Launcher
WebSphere Transformation Extender for Message Broker

WebSphere Transformation Extender is a leading universal transformation engine, ready to be deployed in virtually any infrastructure, to integrate data across the enterprise. This transaction-oriented solution automates the transformation and validation of high-volume and complex data without the need for hand coding. WebSphere Transformation Extender can deploy the same transformation, validation, and routing in virtually any infrastructure or operating environment. You can easily deploy WebSphere Transformation Extender in infrastructures such as service-oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise service bus (ESB), event-driven architecture (EDA), stand-alone server, and custom programming applications or operating environments, including Microsoft™ Windows™, AIX^®, z/OS^® Batch, z/OS CICS^®, z/OS IMS™, z/OS UNIX^® System Services, Red Hat and SUSE Linux™, Solaris, and HP-UX.

IPLA and Subscription and Support considerations

IPLA licenses can be transferred from one machine to another within, but not limited to, an enterprise. You may aggregate the capacity for all the processors the product is operated on to achieve a more economic price. This will result in a single Proof of Entitlement (PoE). It is your responsibility to manage the distribution of Value Units within the limits of the entitlement of the product license.

Subscription and Support must cover the same capacity as the product license entitlement. Subscription and Support will be available in the country in which the agreement is made.

WebSphere Transformation Extender industry packs provide out-of-the-box capabilities to integrate a range of industry-standard data formats with your enterprise infrastructure. Each pack includes predefined metadata for popular industries and key business applications, which help ensure a higher degree of compliance with the content semantics, as well as syntax and structure. The packs are used in conjunction with WebSphere Transformation Extender Design Studio tools to generate transformation and validation solutions. The packs help developers, testers, and the production staff to accomplish more, through deeper integration with their enterprise environments.

WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA is a solution accelerator for the banking and financial services sector needing to achieve compliance to the European Payments Council (EPC) initiative for a Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).

Clients requiring WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA may also be interested in the industry packs for SWIFTNet FIN and SWIFTNet Funds.

Planning information

Packaging: Each WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack software is shipped on CD-ROM with one CD-ROM per platform. The CD-ROM contains the IBM License agreement and programming code.

Security, auditability, and control

The WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA uses the security and auditability features of the host hardware and software. The security functions of the WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack depend on the feature and functions of the existing program. The customer is responsible for evaluation, selection, and implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and appropriate controls in application systems and communication facilities.

Charge metrics definitions

Per Application Instance: You are permitted to deploy and run one copy of the licensed product on one server. For the WebSphere Transformation Extender Industry Pack, it is installed on the WebSphere Transformation Extender Design Studio machine but is licensed per Application Instance on the production, backup, and system test servers. You may install the Industry Pack on any number of Design Studio Servers, but can deploy it only on the number of Servers that match how many application instances acquired.

Per Establishment: If you have acquired an establishment authorization, you are permitted to deploy an unlimited number of copies of the licensed program only on Servers owned or leased by you that are located at a single physical site, including the surrounding campus and satellite offices.
