The new 1300W power supply for high-line voltage provides IBM FlashSystem 840 and FlashSystem™ V840 systems with a high-power alternative to run at maximum performance for longer durations during power supply servicing, resulting in more predictable performance under unexpected failure conditions. While FlashSystem 840 and FlashSystem V840 already offers improved data economics, upgrading to a 1300W power supply facilitates performance at a higher level, thereby increasing return on investment.

Additional FlashSystem 840 management software improvements will make system management and performance health monitoring even more effective in FlashSystem's already intuitive GUI. Additional features include:

Description
Bottom rule

The new 1300W power supply for high-line voltage provides IBM FlashSystem 840 and FlashSystem V840 with a high-power alternative. This power supply enables FlashSystem 840 and FlashSystem V840 to run without performance degradation for longer sustained periods of time and during periods of power supply servicing.

Optimal operation is achieved when operating between 200V - 240V (nominal). The maximum and minimum voltage ranges are specified below:

                        Minimum Nominal Maximum
                        (Vrms) (Vrms) (Vrms)

High Line AC Range 180 200-240 265

Flash media within IBM FlashSystem is covered in full for the duration of the warranty period. Advancements within the system and optimization of this new technology have minimized the chance of the media being fully consumed, even under persistent heavy load. The note in the Warranty service section of the previous IBM FlashSystem 840 113-173, dated December 17, 2013, and IBM FlashSystem V840 114-017, dated February 11, 2014, that limited the coverage of the flash media is no longer applicable.

Accessibility by people with disabilities
