Overview

The Power 575 Site Preparation/Install Support Model (9125-F2B) enables the ability to place an order for the Coolant Supply/Return Hoses (#6876 or #6877) to be delivered in support of site facilities fit up, prior to the delivery of the Power 575 system (9125-F2A). This allows the site chilled-water plumbing to be completed ahead of the system arrival, reducing overall installation time.

Additionally, the Model F2B is used to deliver from an IBM plant within the European Union, the chemically treated water (#6884) for the system side cooling required for the installation of the 9125-F2A. This specifically addresses new environmental regulations for the countries of the IBM Europe/Middle East/Africa region.

IBM Electronic Services

IBM has transformed its delivery of hardware and software support services to help you achieve higher system availability. Electronic Services is a Web-enabled solution that offers an exclusive, no-additional-charge enhancement to the service and support available for IBM servers. These services are designed to provide the opportunity for greater system availability with faster problem resolution and preemptive monitoring. Electronic Services comprises two separate, but complementary, elements: Electronic Services news page and Electronic Services Agent.

The Electronic Services news page is a single Internet entry point that replaces the multiple entry points traditionally used to access IBM Internet services and support. The news page enables you to gain easier access to IBM resources for assistance in resolving technical problems.

The Electronic Service Agent™ is no-additional-charge software that resides on your server. It monitors events and transmits system inventory information to IBM on a periodic, client-defined timetable. The Electronic Service Agent automatically reports hardware problems to IBM. Early knowledge about potential problems enables IBM to deliver proactive service that may result in higher system availability and performance. In addition, information collected through the Service Agent is made available to IBM service support representatives when they help answer your questions or diagnose problems. Installation and use of IBM Electronic Service Agent for problem reporting enables IBM to provide better support and service for your IBM server.

IBM Global Financing

IBM Global Financing offerings are provided through IBM Credit LLC in the United States, and other IBM subsidiaries and divisions worldwide to qualified commercial and government customers. Rates are based on a customer's credit rating, financing terms, offering type, equipment type, and options, and may vary by country. Other restrictions may apply. Rates and offerings are subject to change, extension, or withdrawal without notice.

IBM Global Financing can assist you with accelerating your acquisition of the latest technology you need within your budget process with competitive, customized lease financing of your Power Systems servers, while enabling you to reduce technology obsolescence risk and planning effort for disposal and replacement. We also provide financing for other hardware, software, and services from both IBM and other manufacturers or vendors — all presented in one client contract. In addition, as your performance and capacity needs grow, our flexible mid-lease upgrade options offer nondisruptive upgrades, usually with little or no change to the monthly payment.

For ultimate flexibility IBM can assemble an Open Infrastructure Offering (OIO) that combines hardware, software, professional services, maintenance, financing, and disaster recovery into a single, customized agreement. Every OIO agreement is tailored to a specific client situation and provides the flexibility to make changes in response to changing needs, including the ability to substitute new technologies as needed. It combines a simplified acquisition process with a consolidated monthly bill where IBM Global Financing can finance any or all of your associated one-time-charge costs through a single contract. Predefined interest rates and monthly billings reduce financial risks and make budget planning easier through improved IT expense forecasting. An OIO can reduce overall IT expenses and optimize asset management for in-place and future assets

Through our Global Asset Recovery Services, we offer buy-back and disposal in an environmentally friendly manner, complying with all government laws and regulations.

Our IBM Project Financing™ program provides clients with the ability to design and build their entire IT infrastructure, aligning up-front costs to expected project benefits. This could include financing for select facility design and construction, building and structural upgrades, infrastructure equipment, IT hardware, software, services, and consulting.
