Description

Adding the 750 GB SATA disk drive provides the EXN1000 expansion unit with the option of a maximum physical storage capacity of 10.5 TB.

Prior to the availability of the 750 GB SATA disk drive for the EXN1000, the maximum physical storage capacity for all N5x00 and N7x00 storage controllers was stated as the maximum number of spindles (disk drives) that were supported by each platform. With the availability of the 750 GB SATA drive, the maximum is being restated as the maximum number of TB supported. The aggregate total physical capacity of each drive in the system must be determined so as not to exceed the system maximum.

The maximum physical storage that is supported by each N series storage controller is summarized in the table below. Note that using smaller drives, the maximum disk drives number will apply. In all cases, the "maximum physical capacity" number may not be exceeded.

                           Maximum Maximum Maximum
