The QLogic 2-port 10Gb Converged Network Adapter (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter offers
robust 8Gb Fibre Channel storage connectivity and 10Gb networking over a single
Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) link.
Since this adapter combines the functions of a Network Interface Card and
a Host Bus Adapter on a single converged adapter, clients see potential benefits
in cost, power/cooling, and datacenter footprint by deploying less hardware.
This adapter is based on industry-standard PCIe architecture and offers
significant savings in cable and transceiver cost in BladeCenter deployment. This Converged
Network Adapter (CNA) utilizes advanced protocol processing such as priority-based
flow control, Enhanced Transmission Selection, and Data Center Bridging Capability
Exchange (DCBX).
These CNAs are backward compatible with many 4 Gb storage targets and work
with most existing LAN and SAN infrastructures, helping provide you with investment
protection when consolidating your datacenters.
This CNA carries a one-year limited warranty or, when installed in a BladeCenter,
will have the same warranty as your BladeCenter system's base warranty
and any IBM ServicePac® upgrade.
The QLogic 10Gb CNA (CFFh) form factor is supported in the BC-H and BC-HT
chassis with compatible high-speed modules.

The QLogic 2-port 10Gb Converged Network Adapter (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter offers
an affordable and reliable SAN and LAN connection for small and medium businesses.
The adapter is easy to use, with demonstrated quality and robustness. The
QLogic 2-port 10Gb Converged Network Adapter (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter is
a 2-port daughter card (expansion card) utilizing a high-speed PCIe x8 system
connection. It utilizes the IEEE standard XAUI interface to connect to compatible
high-speed modules. This adapter offers 10Gbps per port maximum throughput
for high bandwidth. It accelerates the storage (SAN) and networking (LAN)
traffic, with full hardware protocol for successful, enhanced Fibre Channel
over Ethernet protocol processing.
Convergence helps lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) by potentially
reducing hardware, power, cooling, management, and maintenance costs. It helps
offer investment protection by providing seamless compatibility with most
existing FC storage, Ethernet networks, driver software, and management applications.
The CFFh form factor and 10Gb Ethernet HSSM or 10Gb CEE HSSM are all supported
in the BCH and BCH-T chassis.
