Software Withdrawal and Extension of Service: Selected VisualAge C++ and XL Fortran Products — Replacement Available

In the VisualAge C++ Professional for AIX V4, the effective withdrawal date has been changed to June 30, 2002, in the Abstract and Product Withdrawals section.

Overview

Beginning April 27, 2001, IBM will withdraw from marketing the following programs licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement.

  • VisualAge C++ Professional for OS/2® and for Windows NT™, Version 4.0 (Withdrawal effective April 27, 2001.)
  • VisualAge C++ Professional for AIX, Version 4 (Withdrawal effective June 30, 2002.)
For a complete list of withdrawals and service extensions, refer to the Program Withdrawal section.

On or after these dates, you can no longer obtain these programs directly from IBM. You can obtain these programs on an as-available basis through IBM authorized remarketers.

Replacement Product Information: IBM VisualAge C++ Professional for AIX, Version 4.0 (5765-D52) is replaced by IBM VisualAge C++ Professional for AIX, Version 5.0 (5765-E26). For details, refer to Software Announcement 200-062 , dated March 28, 2000.

There is no replacement program for IBM VisualAge C++ Professional for OS/2 and for Windows NT, Version 4.0.
