Software Withdrawal and Service Discontinuance: IBM Parallel Environment for AIX, Version 2 and IBM LoadLeveler Version 1

Overview

Effective October 20, 2000, IBM will withdraw from marketing the following programs licensed under the IBM Customer Agreement.

Effective June 22, 2001, program services will be discontinued.

Service discontinuance for Parallel Environment V2 will be December 31, 2001, as previously announced. Service discontinuance for the LoadLeveler V1 products will be June 22, 2001.

Replacement Product Information: The workload balancing programs are replaced by IBM LoadLeveler for AIX, V2. Refer to Software Announcement 298-365 , dated October 5, 1998, and Software Announcement 200-224 , dated July 18, 2000.

The parallel environment programs are replaced by IBM Parallel Environment for AIX, V3. Refer to Software Announcement 200-221 , dated July 18, 2000.

Year 2000

The service end date for these Year 2000 ready products is June 22, 2001.
