November 23, 1999 Revised Availability of IBM MQSeries Integrator, V2 and MQSeries for AS/400, V5.1OverviewMQSeries® Integrator, V2: To meet IBM's high product quality targets, the availability of MQSeries Integrator V2.0 has been delayed. This delay is an opportunity to address further immediate customer requirements:
The planned availability date for MQSeries Integrator V2.0 is delayed from December 10, 1999, to a planned date of March 31, 2000, on the Windows NT platform. At that time the AIX® platform will be available only in a beta release. An additional beta release will be available for the Sun Solaris platform. A further announcement will be made during the first half of 2000 about planned availability on AIX and Sun Solaris platforms. Refer to Software Announcement 299-149 , dated June 15, 1999, for details of MQSeries Integrator V2.0. MQSeries Integrator for OS/390® and DB2®, V1.1: For clarification, inaccuracies in the original product announcement are corrected. Refer to the updated Description and Specified Operating Environment sections within this announcement for amended text. Refer to Software Announcement 299-151 , dated June 15, 1999, for the original announcement. MQSeries for AS/400®, V5.1: The planned availability date of November 26, 1999, for MQSeries for AS/400, V5.1 is delayed, and now planned for March 31, 2000. An MQSeries client for AS/400 and the Publish/Subscribe broker will no longer be included or available (but the product can still participate in Publish/Subscribe). An interactive interface to MQSC commands via the Qshell will no longer be included in this release. Planning InformationUpgrade to Version 2 Passport Advantage Subscription customers with MQSeries Integrator, V1 will be able to obtain upgrades to MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 up to their currently authorized level of use. Use of Components on Separate Machines MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 consists of several components:
Only one instance of each component may be installed at any one time under the terms of the MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 license, except for the Control Center, which may be installed on multiple machines provided that they are all used in conjunction with the same message broker. Users of MQSeries Integrator for AIX, V2.0 may only run the message broker on the RS/6000® platform. Users of MQSeries Integrator for Windows NT, V2.0 may run only the message broker in the Windows environment. Developer Licenses Developer licenses are available on the Windows NT platform to develop and test MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 applications and flows. They may not be used for production use. Developer licenses include one capacity unit. To upgrade from a current authorized Development License to the corresponding full MQSeries Integrator license obtain the Upgrade to Full License with the appropriate number of capacity units part number. Installability: Users of MQSeries Integrator, V1 may continue to use message format definitions developed for this product. Packaging: No change except for MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 MQSeries Integrator, V2.0: Media is on CD-ROM only. It contains program code, PDF files of the publications for viewing online, and HTML files for selected publications. It also contains the complete appropriate MQSeries product necessary to run MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 , or for other use, and a restricted version of DB2 Universal Database®. Customers may also use the product with an existing version of DB2, and can move to a full version of DB2 at any time for an additional charge. The Development license entitles users to develop and test MQSeries Integrator applications, but not to deploy them or to use them in production. The AIX license and the full Windows NT license include the same development entitlement as the Development license. Applications may be developed on a separate Windows NT machine from the machine used for production. However, only one set of development tools on one machine may be used for each license (of any type) purchased. The package contains:

Under the terms of the MQSeries Integrator, V2.0 license, customers may install and use one copy of the components listed below on one or more separate computers, provided that they are all used with the same message broker. They may also use DB2, subject to the conditions above, on a separate computer. In this case, pricing is based solely on the platform and size of the computer running the message broker component.
