IBM Lotus Sametime 7 provides a combination of instant messaging and Web conferencing capabilities that will enable you to engage and respond to colleagues, customers, business partners, and suppliers in real time. Designed with the security features, scalability, and reliability demanded of mission-critical applications, Lotus Sametime combines robust features with the opportunity for lower total cost of ownership often associated with an on-premise software deployment.
IBM Lotus Sametime Enterprise Meeting Server 7 can be added to a Lotus Sametime deployment to support high volume Web conferencing environments, as well as to optimize load balancing and failover for enterprise-class deployments (Microsoft™ Windows™ only).
IBM Lotus Web Conferencing 7 combines the market-leading Web conferencing capabilities of Lotus Sametime with a concurrent user price point that makes it easy to begin Web conferencing and allows for both internal and external meeting participants.
IBM Lotus QuickPlace 7 lets users instantly create a team workspace to gain access to timely information and to seamlessly bring together geographically and organizationally dispersed team members. Lotus QuickPlace is designed to increase team productivity, improve general responsiveness, and facilitate collective decision-making.
IBM Lotus Domino Document Manager 7 manages the complete life cycle of office documents from collaborative authoring to archival. It allows teams to work together more effectively through collaborative document management. This new release delivers enhancements to usability, serviceability, single sign-on, performance, and additional platform support. With these enhancements, Lotus Domino Document Manager can help increase user productivity, potentially reducing hardware, and network bandwidth costs by making it easy to find, store, and manage important documents, including spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, instant messages, and e-mails.
IBM Lotus Workflow 7 works on top of IBM Lotus Domino and speeds the creation and deployment of workflow-oriented applications. It allows organizations to standardize and streamline time-consuming, people-based activities, and track their progress. When integrated with Lotus Domino Document Manager, Lotus Workflow can streamline the distribution and approval cycle of documents. Lotus Workflow 7 allows Workflow Web browser users to make changes to a document and any attachment checked out from the Document Manager. In the earlier versions of Workflow, the attachment was lost during check-in. Other new features include support for Lotus Workflow services as Web services, support attachments in the Lotus Domino Document Manager integration from the browser, opportunity for performance improvement on a name lookup in IBM Lotus Workflow Architect, install usability improvement for Lotus Workflow Viewer, and serviceability improvement — debug print.

Charge metrics definitions
Processor
In Full Capacity charging — Proofs of Entitlement (PoEs) must be acquired for all activated "processors" (available for use) that are on the server where the Program or a component of the Program is run.
- If there are Program Components included in the offering whose function is not to be included in the charge metric, these must be listed in the Program-unique Terms of the License Information.
- IBM defines a physical processor in a computer as a functional unit that interprets and executes instructions. A physical processor consists of at least an instruction control unit and one or more arithmetic and logic units.
- Multi-core technology allows two or more processors (commonly called ’cores’) to be active on a single silicon chip. Unless otherwise announced, with multi-core technology, IBM considers each ’core’ to be a physical processor. For example, in a dual-core chip, there are two (2) physical processors residing on the single silicon chip.
- In the zSeries Integrated Facility for Linux (IFL) environment, each IFL engine is considered a single "physical processor."
- Threading, a technique which makes a single processor seem to perform as two or more, does NOT affect the count of physical processors.
- Where "blade" technology is employed, each "blade" is considered a separate server and charging is based upon the total number of processors on the blade on which the Program is run.
"Per Managed processor" charging under Full Capacity
"Per Managed processor": Charges are based on the active processors on the machines in the computing environment affiliated with the Program rather than on the server where the program is run. The managed processors which require PoEs are defined both in the Charges section of the Announcement or the License Information's Program-unique terms.
Notes:

Concurrent User:
A Concurrent User (User) is one individual machine, program, access or device within or outside Your enterprise. A "Proof of Entitlement" ("PoE") is evidence of Your authorization to use a Program and is required for each User accessing the Program or any Program component, either directly or indirectly, (an example of "indirect" access would be through a multiplexing program or an application server), through any means on behalf of the User. You must acquire PoEs to support the "high water mark" of concurrent users — the highest number of Users accessing the program at any given point of time.
Authorized User:
An Authorized User (User) is one and only one individual, machine, program or device with a specific identity (ID) within or outside Your enterprise.
A "Proof of Entitlement" ("PoE") is evidence of Your authorization to use a Program and is required for each User accessing the Program or any component, application, feature, function and/or capability thereof, either directly or indirectly, through any means on behalf of the User in any manner.
The Program may be installed on one or more computers, and accessed by multiple Users provided that a User authorization has been obtained for each individual User.
- Users have unique specific identity and IDs cannot be shared.
- An ID may establish one or more connections and count as a single User.
- An ID may only be reassigned for the long-term replacement of personnel, machine, program, or device.
Processor Day
Processor Day is a daily charge that allows a customer to purchase additional capacity during peak periods. This applies to per CPU products only and requires the customer to already own a per CPU license of product.
Authorized User
An Authorized User (User) is one and only one individual, machine, program, or device with a specific identity (ID) within or outside Your enterprise.
A "Proof of Entitlement" ("PoE") is evidence of Your authorization to use a Program and is required for each User accessing the Program or any component, application, feature, function and/or capability thereof, either directly or indirectly, through any means on behalf of the User in any manner.

The warranty provided to the customer, for at least one year from acquisition, is access to databases (read Web sites) for program information and FAQs, including any known fixes to defects, which the customer can download or obtain otherwise and install at leisure.
Program technical support: Technical support of a program product will be available for a minimum of three years from the general availability date, as long as your Software Maintenance is in effect. This technical support allows you to obtain assistance (via telephone or electronic means) from IBM for product-specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of the program product. Software Maintenance also provides you with access to updates, releases, and versions of the program. Customers will be notified, via announcement letter, of discontinuance of support with 12 months' notice. If you require additional technical support from IBM, including an extension of support beyond the discontinuance date, contact your IBM representative or IBM Business Partner. This extension may be available for a fee.

IBM Electronic Services is a Web-enabled solution that provides you with an exclusive, no-additional-charge enhancement to the service and support on the IBM eServer. You should benefit from greater system availability due to faster problem resolution and preemptive monitoring. IBM Electronic Services is comprised of two separate but complementary elements: IBM Electronic Services news page and IBM Electronic Service Agent™.
IBM Electronic Services news page provides you with a single Internet entry point that replaces the multiple entry points traditionally used by customers to access IBM Internet services and support. The news page enables you to gain easier access to IBM resources for assistance in resolving technical problems.
The IBM Electronic Service Agent is no-additional charge software that resides on your IBM eServer system. It is designed to proactively monitor events and transmit system inventory information to IBM on a periodic, customer-defined timetable. The IBM Electronic Service Agent tracks system inventory, hardware error logs, and performance information. If the server is under a current IBM maintenance service agreement or within the IBM warranty period, the Service Agent automatically reports hardware problems to IBM. Early knowledge about potential problems enables IBM to provide proactive service that maintains higher system availability and performance. In addition, information collected through the Service Agent will be made available to IBM service support representatives when they are helping answer your questions or diagnosing problems.
